VersionBuilder ("us", "we", or "our") is a plugin for Atlassian Jira product.

The VersionBuilder plugin is designed to function with minimal data collection. It only collects and stores the following information:

• Repository Names: We store the repository names when you choose to save the configuration for the next when creating similar release versions.
• Generalized Release Name Patterns: Based on the release name, we try to have a generalized pattern to match with a future release version.

No personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive data is collected or stored by the plugin.

2. How We Use the Information

The collected data is used solely to:

• Automate the creation of version names in Jira based on your configured patterns.
• Provide relevant repository context for version generation.

This data is stored locally within your Jira environment and is not transmitted to any external servers or third-party services.

3. Data Retention

- Repository names and release patterns are retained only while the plugin is installed.
- Upon uninstallation, all related data will be removed from your Jira environment after 28 days based on Atlassian's hosted storage retention policy.

4. Security

We follow industry-standard measures to secure plugin-handled data. All data remains within your Jira cloud/instance, subject to your internal security and access policies.

5. Third-Party Services

VersionBuilder integrates with Github to read Git commit messages. We do not send any of your data to GitHub or any other third-party.

VersionBuilder does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services or APIs.

6. Your Rights

Since no personal data is collected, common data rights under laws like GDPR or CCPA do not apply. However, you may contact us for any concerns or questions.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our data handling. Notifications will be made via the Atlassian Marketplace or to Jira administrators.
